BIOGRAPHY
Sneha Shankar is a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) & measurement and methodology expert. She obtained a PhD from UBC in educational measurement; specifically the Measurement, Evaluation and Research Methodology (MERM) program. Her PhD applied an innovative qualitative method to investigate equity and interactions in test responses. Importantly, her research highlighted the diversity in individual responses & complexity in testing. Sneha’s PhD was followed by a postdoc at McGill University in quantitative modelling. In this role, she worked as a research analyst & thought leader in a partnership directly connecting academia to industry. Her research related to evaluating fairness across diverse student groups for the globally used & high-stakes test called Character Skills Snapshot. Sneha also has experience as an OT managing, educating and supporting clients, students, peer support workers and therapy assistants. She is licensed as an OT in Quebec, with developing proficiency in written and spoken French. She was also registered in BC and AB. Her national experience brings familiarity with various clinical, assessment and licensure processes. Overall, Sneha brings a strong understanding of how current measurement and testing practices are applied across health disciplines, and she aims to lead with integrity when collaborating with stakeholders. Drawing from a plethora of life and work experiences, Sneha brings an ability to think and understand in different ways, and living in Quebec also brings a unique perspective into language and exam considerations.

Psychometrics & Analysis
Quantitative methodological work with various high-stakes tests as well as large-scale provincial surveys.
